Welcome to Puddleducks!
We are a small pre school which offers care and education to children aged 2 – 4 years. We are open 8.45am – 3pm Monday to Friday, term time only and sessions run from 9am – 11:30am/12:30pm/3pm. Puddleducks will try to accommodate the hours that you require.
We are located in the beautiful grounds of Kimbolton Primary Academy and aim to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for your child. We work together with parents to ensure each child’s needs are met and we help them to receive the best learning experience possible.
Puddleducks organises the day so that children can take part in a variety of child chosen and adult led activities. These are based around your children’s interest and in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. We can cater for the children’s individual needs for quiet times during the day. Our outdoor activities contribute to children’s health, their physical development and knowledge of the world around them.
Key person
We know how important it is for you to have someone that really knows your child at Puddleducks so you and your child will be introduced to a ‘key person’ to develop this bond with.
The key person will get to know all the special details of how you care for your child to help them to be able to express themselves fully, feel special and to feel confident that they matter and are valued. This will give them the confidence to try new things and the key person will help your child build relationships with other adults and children in the setting.
Your key person will build a special relationship with you and your child giving them a safe, secure and consistent base to return to, physically or emotionally, when they need to. The key person will contribute to your child’s learning journey, observing them in their play so activities can be planned to your child’s own interests.
Snacks and meals
We ensure that snack and meal times are positive times at which children and adults eat and socialise together. It provides a fantastic opportunity to promote healthy eating and hygiene. Children have a choice of full fat milk or water to drink at meal times. Fresh water is always available throughout their session in their own named water bottle. We offer a variety of snacks including fresh fruit or vegetables, toast, crumpets, crackers, breadsticks or dried fruits.
Lunch time is at 12pm where Puddleducks join the rest of the school in hall. They have their own table together and are welcome to bring a packed lunch or a school meal for a cost of £2.25
Funded educational sessions for 2, 3 and 4 year olds
We offer funding for up to 15 hours a week for 38 weeks a year for children aged between 3 and 5 years. We also offer 2 year funding. For any additional information is available from Puddleducks or you can contact the school office on 01480 860743.
