The final objective in the Year 2 Plants Science block that I was teaching was about what plants need to grow healthily. We were going to grow cress seeds in the warm and the cold to see which grew best.
Zak and I set up the experiment at home today, putting one tray of seeds on the windowsill in the kitchen and the other in our fridge. Please ask your children to predict which seeds will grow best and why? Can they think of some plants that grow best in cold temperatures and others that grow well in the warmth?
